In summary, the following measures are in place for the delivery of Inspired Tales 2021. Please see the Terms and Conditions for more information, together with Yoto's Privacy Policy.
Data protection:
Yoto will only accept entries submitted by a parent/carer, or by an educator who has received signed permission from a parent/carer to submit on behalf of the entrant. A valid email address of the parent/carer/educator making the submission must be given.
Yoto will collect the following data relating to the entrant:
- Name
- Age
- Zip/postcode (to verify country of residence)
No personal data will be transferred to any third party or used beyond the requirements of the competition without express, written authority from the person/s submitting on behalf of the entrant. All entries will be anonymised and no personal data relating to entrants will be sent to the competition’s independent judging panel or sift readers. Winners and runners-up will be notified via the email address used at the point of submission.
Safeguarding:
In instances where a story or submission suggests reasonable risk or concern to the wellbeing of a child, Yoto reserves the right to remove and disqualify the entry, and escalate the concern. Escalation will take place in line with Yoto’s safeguarding procedures, which may include but is not limited to consulting or passing the submission on to relevant third party bodies involved in child protection and safeguarding. Yoto may or may not choose to contact the person/s who submitted on behalf of the entrant, in the first instance, depending on the perceived risk or concern.
